"No matter what, a Dragon Slayer can only follow one path in life. A path of carnage."

Name(s): Noah Starkk
Nickname(s): The Wandering Whore, Starkky, Demon, Cursed Child, Lord of Misfortune, Vanquisher of Shadows
Age: 23
Sex: Male
Birthday: November 8th X757
Sexuality: Heterosexual
Class: Mystic
Alignment: Lawful Neutral
Rank: D-Class
Guild: Fairy Tail
Guild Tattoo: Right shoulder - white. (Has a previous tattoo on his left shoulder)
Face Claim: Aizen from Bleach.

II. APPEARANCE

Height: 188cm (6'2)
Weight: 83kg (183lb)
Hair: Light brown.
Eyes: Light brown.
General Appearance: If you were too describe Noah in one word, it would have to be either stoic or composed. He is relatively tall standing in at an impressive 6'2 (188cm). His hair is light brown, and seems to grow at incredibly alarming rates. When left unattended, it sticks awkwardly in all directions, though this isn't much of a problem, as Noah always keeps his hair slicked back. His body is quite built, as he did a lot of manual labor when he was younger. He wears glasses for formal occasions, though he doesn't need them to see.

He dresses up sharply, and will always want to look his best (for the ladies). He has wore suits on occasion. During missions, he will wear a white and blue cloak that he thinks makes him look sexy, which it does. Although on hot summer days, he will probably wear something lighter, as he can't stand the heat. He keeps his sword, Tengoku with him at all times, but will not sheathe it, unless fighting. He has a mark on his left shoulder known as the mark of Death given to him by a dark guild that kidnapped him in the past. His Fairy Tail mark is on his right shoulder, which is white.
Extra: Wears glasses needlessly for formal occasions.

III. PERSONALITY

Personality: Calm, cool and collected, Noah is not the kind of person that would crack easily under pressure. He is quite a polite person, addressing everyone with their proper title, even to his enemies. While friendly and charming on the outside, on the inside, Noah is a cold, calculating and ruthless individual. While he does not openly seek to do evil, just for the sake of being evil, he is willing to do anything to get what he wants, though he does have certain principles that he wishes to uphold at all costs, which is one of his greatest weaknesses. He believes highly in hierarchy and structure, and will do what he is told by his superiors (as long as it is reasonable), but this also means that he expects to be respected by those under him. He comes across as quite an apathetic person a lot of the time, as he does not get involved with the affairs of people that aren't important to him. He has a nice side as well, and secretly enjoys being called Starkky by his stepdaughter, Hana.

He will do a mission that he is assigned to do with the best of his ability, but will do only that. If he has to fix a table, he will fix a table, but probably not fix the chair that was broken in the meantime. He is quite the ladies man, and has earned the nickname ''The Wandering Whore'' for his lusty ways, which gets on the nerves of Hana. He is quite analytical, and makes his decisions based on logic and common sense, rather than emotion. His favorite pastimes are chess and fishing, and when he is not on a mission, he will be either playing chess with a fellow guild member or out by the lake, fishing. He reads quite often as well, and besides formal occasions, that will be the only time that he takes out his glasses.

He has been inflicted with the Mark of Death, which was given to him by The Faceless. He is quite hesitant about telling people that he was a member of the Death Cult, but will open up to people that he trusts. Even though he acts friendly, he does disclose much information at all, something that is only picked up by very perceptive people. Despite being the Holy Dragon Slayer, Noah despises dragons, particularly Vespian, who betrayed him. He also dislikes Dragon Slayers who do not want to slay their respective dragons. As the Holy Dragon Slayer, he believes he must slay Vespian, and that other Dragon Slayers should think the same way.

Due to the fact that Noah is quite logical, he hates people who do things without having a solid reason for doing them. People who are rash annoy him greatly, along with cowards. He rarely fights with magic, and prefers to face opponents with his katana, Tengoku. He is cunning and a skilled liar, letting people believe that he uses Light magic, rather than Holy Dragon Slayer magic. When an opponent forces him to use magic, he doesn't use his Holy Dragon Slayer techniques straight off the bat, unless he has to, using other light based techniques, so he can keep up his guise of not being a Dragon Slayer. Only his stepdaughter, Hana and the Fairy Tail guild master are aware.

He prefers the cold to the warmth, and enjoys taking nightly strolls on a cold night. He hates when things get too warm, and will barely wear any clothes once the summer comes around. Despite his hatred of the warmth, he does regularly visit the hot springs. After being left by Vespian and betrayed by his family, Noah has a hard time trusting people other than Hana, though he is careful about what he says to her, not wanting her to be worried. He is bitter and gets quite irritated when he hears Vespian's or his uncle's name. He wants to kill Vespian for leaving him.

  • Deceitful (+2): You have a knack for disguising the truth. Your lies are difficult to distinguish from the truth.

  • Diligent (+2): Your meticulousness allows you to analyze minute details that others miss.

  • High Society (+2): You know good manners and were trained to handle social interactions in noble circles. This is useful in requests involving members of the highest levels of society, such as monarchs, nobles, courtiers, lords and ladies, and high-ranking clerics.

  • Swift (+3): You are fleet of foot. When running, you move three times your normal speed.

  • Persuasive (+2): You have a way with words and body language. Somehow you manage to persuade weaker minded people easily.

  • Blind-Fight (+4): You know how to fight in melee without being able to see your foes.

  • Zealot (+4): This person has trained themselves to wield a specific type of weapon. This weapon can be mentioned behind the Zealot feat within brackets to claim it upon approval. [Katana]

  • Daunting Presence (+2): You are skilled at inducing fear in your opponents.

Total - +20

Negative Traits:

  • Bad Reputation - (Believed to bring bad luck) (-1): You have a reputation that angers or frightens people. Examples include being unlucky, petty, or cruel. The rep may or may not be accurate, but in either case, word travels faster than you do.

  • Cautious (-1): You are uneasy engaging in behavior that carries a chance of failure. You must spend twice as long performing any skill that requires an action. For example, deciphering a page of text would take 2 minutes for you instead of 1.

  • Dark Secret - Murderer (killed uncle) (-1): You have some sort of secret that, if revealed, would make you an outcast amongst your society and companions. While this secret is on your mind at all times, it will come up in topics only once in a while, but when it does, watch out!

  • Extravagant (-1): You enjoy living in the lap of luxury. Ale is never good enough if you can get fine wine instead. You aren't happy with anything less than the finest room in the inn. In addition, any equipment or services you purchase cost 10% more than the standard rate for the locale you are currently in. The best of the best always costs more, after all.

  • Intolerance - Cowards (-1): You have an irrational dislike of a certain thing. It may be an animal, a class of person, a situation, or just about anything at all. Note that some dislikes may be too trivial or ridiculous to count--a dislike of Bavarian-crème-filled donuts or mechanical pencils, for example, has no real dramatic value and will not be allowed.

  • Lecherous (-1): You have a lusty nature and a tendency to pursue the pleasures of the flesh. A woman or a man (however your tastes run) is an almost irresistible temptation to you. You give in to these temptations easily.

  • Proud (-1): You don't like accepting help from others. If a gift or offer of aid smacks of charity or pity even the slightest bit, you grow indignant and refuse it.

  • Star-crossed (-1): You keep falling in love with the wrong people. You're the common soldier who falls in love with the king's daughter at first sight, or the hero who falls for the villain's daughter without knowing who she is.

  • Branded - (Believed to have helped massacred his town) (-2): You have fled for a crime committed and now have a prominent brand. You may have been a criminal, a slave, or some other such illicit individual. The brand is such that it cannot be easily covered, and a cursory search reveals it each time. Law enforcement agents of any lawful land will immediately take you into custody if they see the mark, for extradition or imprisonment. It is your choice as to whether or not you were falsely accused of the crime.

  • Greedy (-1): Money makes your eyes light up with joy. The more, the merrier, as long as it spends. Once in a while, whenever you're divvying up shares of the loot, being offered a hefty bribe, or catching wind of some fabulous treasure, the flaw can to convince you to grab for as much money as possible.

  • Judgmental (-1): You form opinions quickly and change them very slowly. You also have a tendency to judge people on their appearance. A man dressed as a pirate, no matter how gentlemanly, is a scoundrel and a dog as far as you is concerned. A man covered in mud is a peasant, and a woman wearing revealing clothing is a prostitute.

  • Ambitious (-1): You crave power. Money is nice, but being in charge of other people is your favorite thing. You are likely to be brought down by attempting a risky grab for power and failing. Even when deals are risky you will give in and agree most of times.

  • Hedonistic (-1): You love a good time. You party too much, drink too much, and eat too much. You have trouble resisting an invitation to join someone in a drink and sometimes shirk your duty if offered a more enjoyable time elsewhere. Whenever a good time is presented you let your guard. You're also not capable to resist seduction of any sort. It's just not in your nature to resist such opportunities.

  • Righteous (-1): The end justifies the means. You are willing to perform morally repugnant actions in order to achieve noble goals. Unfortunately, this can alienate those people who might support your cause if you didn't use such heavy-handed methods.

  • Lazy (-1): You will never do any more work than is absolutely necessary. You will rely on your companions to do things such as build campfires, cook, and keep watch throughout the night. Generally, you will neglect details of preparedness in order to grab a few extra minutes of sleep. Failure indicates that you think the time would be better spent napping or laying under the shade.

  • Cruel (-1): You have a sadistic streak that causes you to perform acts of cruelty for no good reason. Of course, this doesn't endear you to others. Most times you are prudent enough to carry out your cruelties on those under your thumb, rather than those you see as equals. However, you carry a constant social stigma, as rumors have their way of getting around.

  • Allergies - Hay fever (-1): You are afflicted with allergies. These may be something as simple as hay fever, but the reactions to such will result in something like a huge bout of sneezing and gasping. You must mention this allergy in your character application.

  • Harbinger of Ill Omen (-1): You seem to be cursed to forever bump into a specific person, time and time again. Each time you do, something bad happens not long afterward. This person in no way does this purposefully, it just happens with alarming frequency. In roleplay terms, this can be reflected through utilizing a specific instance of the Misfortunate flaw when the Harbinger pops up, or simply be some creatively hindering roleplay situation.

  • Overzealous (-1): You are incapable of having a weak opinion. Everything you believe, you believe as if your life depended on it. Everything you don't believe in, you hate with a passion. Once in a while your flaw gets you to strongly defend one of your opinions, no matter how inappropriate the time and place, nor what the circumstances of such an outburst may be.

  • Dependent - Stepdaughter (-3): You have a ward or charge that depends on you, usually a young child or elderly relative that needs you to provide for them and devote at least part of your time to them. In money terms, this will cost you five percent of your jewels a month. You may also be required to stay near home often in case you are needed.

IV. MAGIC

Magic: Holy Dragon Slayer
Caster or Holder: Caster
Description: Holy Dragon Slayer Magic allows its user to transform the physiology of their body into that of a White Dragon. Consequently, this Magic allows the user to both produce and control light from any part of their body, which can be used in both close and ranged combat.
Strengths: The user can produce and control light from any part of their body, which can be used in both close and ranged combat, such as coating their arms and legs to increase strength and agility. If the user uses a weapon, he can also imbue the weapon with light, powering it up. The user can consume light to replenish himself. If the user somehow manages to ingest shadows, he will enter the Shadow White Dragon Mode.

Weaknesses: Holy Dragon Slayer magic is quite ineffective in the dark, due to the lack of light. If the user tries to ingest light that is cast by a Mage of higher rank than the light that the user can produce, then the user will be damaged, rather than healed. Holy Dragon Slayer Magic is the natural enemy of Shadow Dragon Slayer Magic. If two users of these magics were to battle, then the result would be determined by the strength of each user. Either the Light will vanquish the Shadows, or the Shadows will engulf the Light.

V. HISTORY

History: On the 8th of November X757, in a faraway country, a boy was born into the world. He lived a happy existence with his parents in their small cottage in the forest, and his father, who was a Mage originally from Fiore, thought him a bit of Light Magic that greatly entertained Noah, making the first few years of his life a very enjoyable one. Noah was also fascinated by the concept of 'guilds', organizations that used their magical abilities to help people do everyday tasks, that ranged from helping a new business owner with their new restaurant, to getting rid of monsters that plagued the woods. Noah's father was a member of one such guild, and Noah made it a goal of his to go to Fiore and join a guild as well.

The country that Noah was from did not have guilds, and was not prominent in magic, though according to news reports, there was one group that had been learning shadow magic and were plaguing the country with their crimes, such as looting, enslavement and even murder. They called themselves ''The Faceless''. Like with guilds from Fiore, members of The Faceless had their own mark. The mark of Death located somewhere on the body, which takes the form of a scythe, the weapon used by the Grim Reaper.

One day, while Noah was playing on the outskirts of the woods, The Faceless came. The leader of this group made it known that he was the leader, his mark being on his right palm, which he showed to people to intimidate them. Noah did not know about the existence of The Faceless, and as such did not think that they would harm him. The group approached Noah, and decided to kidnap him and use him for manual labor, as they did with a lot of other children. Even the slaves, such as himself, were branded with the mark of Death, but fortunately Noah's one was on his left shoulder, and could easily be covered up if need be.

What came next was devastating. The Faceless took Noah and marched him and their own captives to a small village, of barely 200 people. He was scared, as he had never left the woods where he grow up before. The Faceless then preceded to slaughter the resident of the village, burning down houses, destroying the land. They left one alive, who they forced to go spread the word of The Faceless. The one they left alive this time was a young man. Noah would never forget the look of disdain on the man's face as he took a good look at each member of The Faceless, who had destroyed his home. The Faceless continued to move across the country, and they continued along, they captured more and more slaves who they converted to members of their group. Some were actually loyal to The Faceless, while some longed to escape. Noah was one of those who wanted to escape, though he never tried, as he had nowhere to go anyway.

On what Noah remembered to be his 12th birthday, The Faceless brought home a new captive, but strangely enough, their new 'slave' was nothing more than a newborn girl. She wasn't even a year old. Much too young to be of any use to the group, though strangely enough, they didn't kill her on sight. Noah overhead a conversation between members of the group. As it turned out, the young girl that was brought captive was actually the daughter of one of the members. The young girl, who could barely speak took a liking to Noah, and would bother him whenever he was doing work. Due to this, Noah received some severe beatings, as they believed he was simply slacking. The girl's father, one of the members of  The Faceless simply known as Boss knew the truth though. He treated Noah quite well now, due to his daughter's affection for him, and even told Noah the young girl's name. Hana. Secretly, Boss had been slipping Noah extra food, while the other members weren't looking. Noah came to regard him as some sort of father figure, and even called him Uncle, though never in the presence of the other members of The Faceless.

By now, the reputation of The Faceless ones had already swept across, not only the nation, but across continents even. They were sending in more than just simple fighters now. They were sending in Mages. Realizing that their group would soon be caught, the leader of The Faceless decided to kill every slave. After this order was given, Boss took both Noah and Hana to a isolated location and decided that he would kill the both of them, painlessly. Noah, now 12 and a lot stronger from the years of manual labor, could now attempt to fight him off, though the preteen was not nearly as strong as the 6'5 Boss. For the first time in several years, Noah used Light Magic and managed to defeat Boss. Ruthlessly, Noah killed Boss with his bare hands, who's screams attracted three other members of The Faceless. Strangely, Hana showed little to no reaction to her father's death.

Angry and shocked, the members of the group chased after Noah and Hana, who were exhausted from the work they did that day. Noah was also beat after that fight with Boss, which really could have ended either way. Unable to move any longer, Noah dropped to his knees and told Hana to run away herself, though the two year old girl, who had gradually learned a few words, refused to leave Noah's side, repeatedly saying his name, as The Faceless members caught up with them. Before they could kill them however, a roar that could split the heavens was heard. Noah looked up to the sky to see something he had only read about in stories, a dragon. A white dragon. The dragon swooped down, and engulfed Noah with light, before flying away. Replenished, Noah used his new found powers to kill the three The Faceless members. He then went back to the hideout and killed the other members.

When the police arrived, they simply saw Noah, who was shaking uncontrollably in the middle of the room, with Hana sleeping soundly beside him. However, the entire room was painted with the red color of blood. The blood of The Faceless, Noah's eternal tormenters. The police took Noah into custody, and had him tried as being a member of The Faceless, and for mass murder. Hana, on the other hand was taken into an orphanage, as she was deemed too young to be involved with the massacre. Also, it turned out that Boss did not give Hana the mark of Death, meaning that she was never really a member of the group. As the last surviving member of the death cult, Noah was accused of all their crimes, and was convicted with evidence provided by people who had their homes taken from them by The Faceless. Some had even recalled a young Noah being with them, and they were right. Noah could remember some of the people, who's faces had not changed. They still looked at them, with the utmost hatred in their eyes.

But public opinion was mixed. The argument for Noah was that he was only 12 years old, and was probably a young child when he was taken captive. They also claimed that as he was a slave, he probably did not take part in any of the killings, unless he was forced to. They also noted the fact that he was the one that destroyed The Faceless. The argument against Noah was that he still was a member of The Faceless, and as the last surviving member, he should have to take the blame. They also claimed that he was dangerous, as he was only a boy, but still managed to kill a group of top class criminals. The trial dragged on, and Noah was locked up in the meantime. On the last day of the trial right before the sentence, Noah decided to break out of prison. Using his Light Magic, he had no problem defeating guards that were only armed with things like batons. He headed for the orphanage Hana was at, and decided to take her along with him.

Noah and Hana headed towards the woods, where he once again heard the dragon's roar. From above, the dragon that had saved him before appeared in front of him. Talking to him through telepathy, the dragon identified himself as Vespian, the Holy Dragon. Taking Noah and Hana under his wing, he took care of the two children for a while, even teaching Noah his own brand of magic, Holy Dragon Slayer Magic, making Noah a Holy Dragon Slayer. While this was going on in the isolated woods, the country was in disarray, as they were unable to find Noah, a convicted mass murderer and former death cultist. The Statue of Limitations in place in the country eventually ran out, and Noah was now considered innocent, though public opinion on him had completed turned. He was now known as a coward and a weakling. Noah managed to keep up with the outside world by stealing newspaper with a disguise.

He and Hana lived like this, until one day they woke up and Vespian was gone. He had abandoned them. That was Noah's take on the turn of events. Bitter and angry at being betrayed by both Boss and Vespian, Noah decided to return home to where his parents were. He reached his old house, and looked inside the window. Sure enough, both his parents were there, but they were not alone. Playing happily on the living room, like Noah once did were two children. They were twins, a boy and girl. That's when Noah realized something. His parents had moved on. They even had more children. Bitter, but understanding as he was gone for a long time, Noah and Hana left and decided to head for Fiore, to join a guild like he always wanted to.

Noah was now 13 and Hana was 1, they set sail for Fiore, but things did were not much better there. The Faceless were known there, though it had died out. Public opinion was mixed, with some understanding why Noah would run away from prison, while some damned him for being apart of the cult in the first place. Facts and figure were thrown around, and Noah couldn't help but chuckle by how wrong some people were. Some people even claimed that Noah was some child mastermind that was actually in charge of the entire group, and slaughtered all his men once he realized that he was going to get caught.

Noah and Hana were walking through Magnolia one day, when they bumped into a man, who looked completely shocked to see him. He asked for Noah's father's name. The man said that he was a member of the Fairy Tail guild, and that Noah's father was also a member several years ago. Noah's father was supposedly a talented mage that fell in love with a woman from a different country. Choosing love over vocation, he left Fairy Tail to be with her in her home country. Realizing that Fairy Tail was the guild that his father talked about all those years promoted Noah to join. The boy now had three goals. Create the life for Hana that he never had, protect Fairy Tail and to kill Vespian with his own magic, Holy Dragon Slayer magic.

I'm not completely sure if this is the place to put it, but I have this character pegged as the Holy Dragon Slayer. According to this thread, there's only 2 Dragon Slayers taken, and neither of them are the Holy Dragon Slayer, though according to this thread there are 4 Dragon Slayers taken, one of which is the Holy Dragon Slayer. I'm not 100% sure which thread I should be going by, but I'll keep it as the Holy Dragon Slayer for now (partially because I haven't seen the lady who had the Holy Dragon Slayer on her profile on in the past 99 hours, though that might just be me assuming things). Either way, I'm willing to change it if someone already had the Holy Dragon Slayer pegged down, so just let me know.

Thanks.

The following are the changes I made to the application.

  • Added more to motivations, fears, dislikes, likes, personality, magic strength and weaknesses and general appearance,
  • Edited history completely.
  • Added in the allergy.

And with that, the application is ready for review!
