Background: This blade has a long history in the world of samurai it is known as the cursed blade for the fact that it ate the souls of the ones it had slain. The blade grants its user the skills of previous owners. If they do not appease the blade's appetite for souls it will turn on its user and eat their life force leaving them a empty husk taking there signature skill to be passed onto another when it is wielded again. Kyuuzou does not suffer from this effects since he met his end long ago.

Description: Shusui's blade is black with a distinct red hamon and its tsuba hand-guard has flower-like edges. Its red hamon (hardening line) is Kanemoto style, having the appearance of a saw or sharp teeth. It has no accessories on the hilt, being wrapped with black silk. Kashira, tsuba and kojiri end cap are golden, and the sheath is black, decorated with dark red circles split in even thirds. The blade is one meter long.
