Sexuality: Heterosexual
Class: Cleric

Alignment: True Neutral
Rank: D

II. APPEARANCE

Height: 6'4"
Weight: 184lbs
Hair: Blonde
Eyes: Blue
General Appearance: Mars is a handsome young man who takes care to groom himself and his outwardly appearance. He is of a rather strong lineage of persons who credit themselves in their physical prowess, a family house called the Ultor. Mars gains from his family lineage his Adonis-like physical appearance, balancing out beauty and physical prowess. He has prominent shoulder-length silky blonde hair, magnificent sapphire blue eyes and a charming smile that's said to disarm those of the opposite sex. At times when things become more serious than they should his body gains a sinister dark aura (that only possesses aesthetic value) and his charming smile devolves into a sinister smirk of a predatory creature. At formal occasions Mars dons a three piece slim black suit with a white shirt and slim black tie. On other occasions that do not require formal attire Mars dons ordinary clothes which vary depending on what he likes to wear. When under the influence of Cthulhu his body below the base of his neck is enveloped in a strange black substance (aesthetic value) that seems to burn, and Mars' mind believes it does

Extra: Mars often wears a pair of glasses, although he has no real vision impediment that requires the aid of glasses

III. PERSONALITY

Personality: Mars, for a loss of words, if a strange man. Often times many would characterize him for an elite socialite who is versed in the mannerisms and quirks of the upper-class, he is in fact borne from the working poor class and doesn't believe in the class system overall. He's found that such forms of class order which divide people themselves by materialistic wealth to be "awkward", but of course, he never expresses these ideas outwardly. Mars can play coy long enough, due to his strange case of sociopathic disorder he can actually blend in society long enough so that people may never assume that he has anything wrong up in the noggin. He loves that air of deception, and the air of deception overall. It's something he likes to experiment with and has tampered with social relationships for as long as he conceived his notion of True Neutrality. He has the capacity for authentic kindness, but he doesn't believe he has found anyone who would fit that description

There is a darker side to Mars' personality that stems from his estranged past concerning a childhood incident that made him the man he is today. He saw something that mere mortal eyes should have never laid eyes on, but he did unwillingly, and he saw The Truth of Our Universe. His mind was plunged into complete and utter madness, and was reshaped and reformed into something new and "unique", a mindset that was made alien from his former jubilant state of mind. When Cthulhu takes over Mars his eyes turn from a lovely sapphire blue to a solid orange and his innocent smile twisted into a smile of sheer madness and malicious intent. Cthulhu is wise but cruel, and seems to be Mars' true sane personality, although Mars isn't as conscious to help in the conversation

Likes:

  1. Long instances of praying to his Dark Eldritch Lord Cthulhu and the Outer Gods
  2. A good fight
  3. A decent opponent
  4. Chaotic nature
  5. Unpredictability
  6. Unaligned circumstances
  7. Ambient music
  8. White noise

Dislikes:

  1. Opposition of Cthulhu and the Outer Gods
  2. The unjustly and self-proclaimed
  3. Loud music
  4. Moral values
  5. Purposely foolish
  6. Ignorance (if it CAN be helped)

Motivations:

  1. Live life as a True Neutral
  2. Serve his otherworldly deities to his fullest extent
  3. Mars wants to live through life uninhibited by oppressive forces, man-made and otherwise

Fears:

  1. Not having served his outer gods or feeling as if he hadn't done much to please them causes great sorrow and a sense of defeat in Mars. It's one of his two true fears that he watches for with keen eyes
  2. Mars is afraid of developing feelings towards someone to the point of falling in love. He feels it will impede his ability to worship Cthulhu and his Outer Gods, which plays into the first main fear

No one else knows the circumstances, and it's a secret he rather not say)

  • Fanaticism (-1) | Explanation: You must always strongly act out to your beliefs even if it goes against your immediate goals or it brings the lives of people you care about in danger.
  • Night Blindness (-2) | Explanation: During night time in threads, or facing someone who uses Dark Magic, you have a hard time seeing more than 10 meters in front of you.
  • Ambitious (-1) | Explanation: You will attempt to overthrow friends or foes alike when the opportunity rises regardless if it seems like it's not possible.

IV. MAGIC

Magic: Elemental Martial Art: Chāo Lóng

Caster or Holder: Caster

Description: Elemental Martial Art: Chāo Lóng is a Caster Magic that utilizes the manipulation of molten rock through the medium of martial arts. This magic is a sub-sect of Earth Magic, although it does not allow free manipulation of earth. The user is able to phase change earth into lava, lava into earth, and otherwise manipulate existing lava with great dexterity. Thus is the extent of control of Earth for this magic.

Strengths: This form of magic is dependent on the body of the caster, which must be kept at its peak physique in order to command proper control over the element he/she controls. Lava is a volatile element and has a tendency to flow outwardly when left unattended, a maximum area of an extra five meters to all spells after a single post of lava being conjured. Earth Magic and Fire Magic take a -1 rank penalty against this magic, since lava is molten earth. Although reputedly to be slow, lava in this form of magic possesses the viscosity of water, and can be manipulated as if it were water (without inhibiting its destructive potential) This requires fluid and quick movements of the body as well as a well-grounded body and strong core.

Weaknesses: This form of magic is virtually purely offensive. Very few defensive techniques can be derived from this form of magic; even though lava can be phase-changed back into a solid earth state, it only defends at half its rank's efficiency. One of the biggest forms of crippling the user of this magic is separating him/her from any earthen substance, which is their sole substance for creating and manipulating lava aside from having pre-existing natural lava. Restricting the user's movements (paralysis, small space, etc) can inhibit the user from performing any martial arts techniques and subsequently the manipulation of lava. Water Magic and any of its subsequent variations can cool off the lava in a way that inhibits the user of this magic from manipulating the cooled form of their magic. Containing the lava in substances that cannot be melted by lava's heat is another way of countering this magic. The user is limited in range to how far their control of molten earth reaches. They can never exceed the range limit of a technique on their own (if the technique is D-Rank they can only phase change earth in a D-Rank range radius)

V. HISTORY

History: Mars Ultor was born to a rather prominent family of semi-royal blood that traced its lineage to some great Lord working for a King long forgotten to the sands of time. The Ultor bloodline was a bloodline of warrior-like persons who reveled in their inhuman beauty and power, but scarred by their equally historic mental set-backs. Mars happened to be a sort of "prodigy" of his family for quite some time, along with several cousins who were born around the same time as him who were born without the withdrawing mental setbacks of the general clan population. Mars, Saturn, Jupiter and Mercury were the children of the Ultor family that showed the most prominence and the potential to strive further away from the family's dark past to succeed with absolute excellence.

Seventeen days before the thirteenth birthday of Mars and Mercury Ultor, the two were arranged to be married on his day of birth to further produce more children that would not be born with the family mental illness, but stronger variations of the Ultor beauty and power. Mercury, being the only female of the four Prodigy Ultor, at first detested the idea of incest, but she had grown to love Mars over a short amount of time. Mars had grown to love his cousin dearly, and on their wedding night they performed coitus under the night sky and stars. Everyone was happy to see that the two were getting off so well for being so young, but Jupiter and Saturn were envious of Mars and had devised a plot to destroy him in the most subtle and unique way possible.

Under the guise of kidnappers, the two stormed Mars' family house and took him to a secluded area of the outskirts of Clover, in a dark cave with many underground chambers. In the deepest of them was a single stone altar with dried, musty blood covering its base and head. They strapped Mars onto the altar, albeit with a struggle as the oldest of the Ultor Prodigy possessed immense strength. When he was subdued Jupiter and Saturn revealed themselves and began to chant ancient verses that Mars was unfamiliar with (but now knows like the back of his head); a single verse was stuck in his head, and the echoes of his cousins repeating it went 'round and 'round in his head:

Ph'nglui mglw'nafh Cthulhu R'lyeh wgah'nagl fhtagn

A strange being seemed to appear in the fires around the room, a large monstrous being with slick green skin that was rank with the decay of the dead and the scent of madness and mental deterioration. It opened its great dragon-like wings and reared its octopus-like head back before raising a human-like hand, killing Jupiter and Saturn. The two dropped to the floor and became blobs of a strange color-flashing material. Such colors Mars had never seen or heard of before, and his conscious was telling him such colors never existed in this age and time and dimension. The creature kept on saying strange words to Mars, but all he could pick up out of all the words was the name Cthulhu. The creature he deemed to be Cthulhu placed its giant scaly arm on Mars' head, and everything went black. When Mars came to, he found himself in bed with his wife, but he felt different. How different he couldn't tell, and assumed all what had passed was simply a nightmare.

Cthulhu would visit his dreams for the next five years until Mars had gotten quite insane, and was locked away in a dungeon below his family house. People accused him of the mysterious disappearances of Jupiter and Saturn, to which he denied adamantly. Mercury visited him as often as she could, and still held her love for her distraught husband. Mars fought his madness, but came short of success. On the night of his eighteenth birthday Mars compromised with Cthulhu at the cost of a mind warped by madness to keep a portion of his sanity and ability to keep normalcy in public. Mars was released from the dungeon, but divorced his wife and disappeared all in one night, and was never seen again by his family members. Cthulhu "blessed" Mars with a strange form of magic that the dark god likened to "controlling the creation of planets". With his new magic Mars set out to find himself wandering Fiore until he found himself in the guild known as Crime Sorcière. One day Mars believes he will return to his family and wife, but for then he had to re-evaluate his entire existence before he can go back to the life he used to live, and the wife that loves him

Hello Mars.

  • Your character being the vessel of Cthulhu is more an insanity than a Dark Secret. Find a way to fix this, please, or completely replace the negative trait.

Bump once completed.
