When words fall short he will use his extensive training to uphold what he holds as right and the virtues instilled in him from his noble birth. He will not take someone’s life even if they would later attack him. He feels that everyone should get a fair shot and redemption is a significant part of maturing through life.
He is easy to get along with and talk about his past but keeps some of the intimate details to himself. He will support anyone trying to improve themselves. Therin takes life with stride and relishes in the beauty of simplicity. He however will always accomplish a task once started only rests when the work is done even if he needs to finish it by himself.
When something he feels passionate about arises he holds no qualms in expressing his opinion on whatever the matter may be especially the pursuit of love and happiness. Because of his lack of experience with many aspects of the other society he is always curious about peoples experiences, feelings and emotions. He likes to see what drives people.

Likes:

  • helping others
  • Pushing forward to new accomplishments
  • redeeming his house name
  • painting

Dislikes:

  • Acts he sees as immoral or unjust
  • people who stand in the way of love
  • uncleanliness
  • Endangering the lives of others
  • being idle

Motivations: The wishes of his house and fiancé. Reclaiming his house. Becoming a powerful mage to fight for what he believes in.
Fears: being unable to live up to his families dying wishes. Falling in love again and losing them. Being unable to make a change in the world.
Positive Traits:

  • Regeneration (+4): You heal very fast inside and outside of combat. Small cuts that go up to one inch deep are healed in the next post.
Explanation: C Rank damage healed every post.
  • High Society (+2): You know good manners and were trained to handle social interactions in noble circles. This is useful in requests involving members of the highest levels of society, such as monarchs, nobles, courtiers, lords and ladies, and high-ranking clerics.
Explanation: You are capable of having threads with nobles. Those without this feat cannot.

Negative Traits:

  • Curiosity (-1): You're a naturally curious person and you find mysteries of any sort irresistible. In most circumstances, alas, your curiosity overrides your common sense. This forces you to investigate something unusual, even if it looks like it might be dangerous.
Explanation: You will walk deeper into the forest you have never been before. You won't turn around from the castle that you have never seen. This can result into getting you into very dangerous situations.

  • Bruise Easily (-2): Each time you take bludgeoning damage, including that from falls, you take more damage than any other person.
Explanation: You will take extra damage from bludgeoning damage, whether it was done through a spell or not. The damage received from bludgeoning damage is increased by one class if it's a spell.

  • Extravagant (-2): You enjoy living in the lap of luxury. Ale is never good enough if you can get fine wine instead. You aren't happy with anything less than the finest room in the inn. In addition, any equipment or services you purchase cost 10% more than the standard rate for the locale you are currently in. The best of the best always costs more, after all.
Explanation: You will always pay 10% more when purchasing something.
  • Merciful (-1): For a villain, you have a terrible weakness--you don't like to hurt people. Given the choice, you'd rather exile your deposed brother to another country than do him in. Whether this is because you want him to live knowing that you beat him, or whether you just have a small soft spot down in your heart somewhere, the result is the same: your enemies keep coming back again and again.
Explanation: You are unable to ever kill someone, NPC or otherwise. This means Requests that specifically request slaying a beast or person cannot be done by you.

IV. Magic

Magic: Wind Magic

Caster or Holder: Caster

Description : This variation of Air Magic enables its users to generate wind, as well as to manipulate the wind around them at their will. Wind Magic grants them high offensive power, allowing them to assault enemies in different ways: the most prominent aspect of such Magic lies in the ability to give the wind cutting properties, manifesting it in the form of fast-moving air blades which are employed at mid-to-long range; they can also generate powerful gusts of wind to inflict blunt damage upon enemies and send them flying away, and even form hurricanes of various scales, which, in addition to their rotational power, seem to retain his wind's signature sharpness. Many of this Magic's spells seem to require special gestures which are performed with one or both hands, depending on the attack's power and magnitude. However, users also seems capable of producing minor, yet accurate, blasts without the need of moving their hands. Users can also employ the wind on themselves, using it to levitate and traverse over long distances, as well as to cover themselves in an armor of wind, boosting both their offense and defense.

Strengths: Well rounded magic allowing for mid and long range attacks. Can bolster offensive and defensive capabilities. Strong versus water and lightning.

Weaknesses: Because the magic is well rounded it does not excel in any one thing specifically. Fire magic is also is good against it.

V. HISTORY

History: Therin was born of one of five noble houses that governed a large city. Each of the houses consisted of the main Family that, and the families that governed under them. Along with the families that worked under the head family, there were citizen workers that could be hired in by any of the families that the house consisted of. Therin was the soul child born to the feldrakemore’s and like all those of noble birth, he was trained at a young age in the ways of proper etiquette and magic. The house he was born to was the smallest of the five great houses and one of the newest that rose to power. There were smaller houses in the area but none had grown like the feldrakemore’s. This rapid expansion was due to the amount of smaller houses and citizens that joined them, because of their unusual policies that they received much scrutiny for. The feldrakemore’s, upon accepting a new family into their ranks, would allow the family to take on the feldrakemore name. Given a noble name to “lesser families was unheard of, but it foster a sense of family and the citizens were drawn to that.Therin accepted his regal and rigid upbringing much differently than the other youth that complained and wished to leave this life. Therin saw it as an opportunity to be something more, that he was given the privilege of using power to improve the lives of those around him. Throughout the history of the houses there was one house that maintained more influence and this was decided in a tournament that tested academics, strength, and magic. The game was played by a chosen heir to the family name and Therin was seen as a sure be victorious when he came of age. As Therin turned 16 a new development occurred that caused conflict to be pushed to the edge with his family and the other houses. The custom was to have an arranged marriage between either high family in the area or one of the other major houses. Therin dreaded this day because since he was a child he was always intertwined in one mischievous act.He met Alatulia when he was young and their friendship had grown strong over the years, but neither of them expressed romantic feelings for each other. Therin knew she was beautiful and he had strong feelings for her but never acted because he believed she didn’t feel the same, and it would bring conflict upon his parents because she was born of a citizen and not a house.Nonetheless they spent many nights sneaking out into the courtyards together and sharing stories about their dramatically different lives. Years passed by as they helped each other in secret and supported one another. The time came for Therin to face the heavy hearted day when he would be married and knew that his friendship with Alatulia would forever change. The custom was for the parents to through a ball with the other houses to assist in finding a bride but to everyone’s surprise and the disdain of the other houses, this event was far different. The houses were invited only to realize that it was a ball to celebrate the bride that had already been chosen. Therin stood weary as two doors opened to reveal Alatulia in the bridal garb. “Son. We know how you feel about her, and no politics will get in the way of what is right,” Therin’s father said. Therin rushed to Alatulia as they shared a star struck embrace amongst the hate filled glares from angered nobility. Years passed as Alatulia and Therin grew close together, awaiting the marriage day. Alatulia would always say to Therin when he would leave for nearby missions of diplomacy, “As long as the wind blows, you will have my love and I will always be with you.” Finally Therin turned twenty and the wedding was only a month away. Peace quickly turned to suspicion as violence began to flourish in the city. The feldrakemore’s land and buildings had come under attack by outside forces. These forces however, they believed to be from the other houses. Therin knew not only was the time for his marriage approaching but also the tournament that the elders of all families said he would be the most likely victor. The course of fate changed one dreadful evening as the conflict came to a climax. Therin and Alatulia returned home from a political meeting that ran late only to see the eerie scene of the missing guards before the gate to the estate. Therin moved before Alatulia and entered. There was no one to be seen as he moved through the dismal courtyard to the cold estate doors. It was almost like sadness and hate twisted the wood as the turned the knob. He felt Alatulia gently grab him from behind out of fear. This was not one of his father’s pranks, something was dark. The two entered the room to see all the members of his house corralled together. Even the citizens and adopted families. Almost two hundred people stood in panic and confusion, Therin’s father was the only one who lay injured on the ground. Blood ran from his mouth with every breath he took. Eight men emerged from around the people, as they passed by toward Therin he recognized them as being the current top family, the Windens. “So this is what you do. Resort to under handed tactics,” Therin said in a calm voice as he knew the Windens had a mage that specialized in barriers which is why his family was trapped. “Listen boy now is not the time for words but actions. You only need to know one thing. Tonight will define the legacy of my nation and there will be no more Feldrakemore’s” The leader said with a snarl as he made a sweeping hand gesture to his men. Everything almost happened instantly as the seven mages acted in unison. The ground that his family stood on began to twist upward and close in on them. The earth rolled upward and mangled the bodies of his house in a bloody massacre that stained the earth with crimson and screams. Therin stood immobile as he was held by magic and so was Alatulia. What happened next left him puzzled. It was almost in concert he heard the dying voices of his family call out to his mind saying, “Get out Therin, Live and do not forget what happened here this day. We are lost but you can stop those that would spread evil. You were always destined for greatness. Go! Be the man you need to be!”Therin mustered his power and broke free from the shackles and reached to Alatulia. Their hands touched as they stared deep into each other’s eyes. A tear ran down her face as their fingers danced across the others slowly intertwining. She whispered, “I am lost, Go! My love will be like the wind.” Her words faded with her breath as a mage engulfed her in flames as she remained bound. Therin screamed and reached out to whip the tear away from her check as it evaporated on his fingers touch. He held her body with flames burning him as tried to pull her away, until nothing remained. Her body became vapor in his arms drifting into eternal memories. The fire mage rushed toward him to deliver a blow but Therin saw it coming. He gathered the wind around him, including the vapor of his lost love like their souls would fight together. With one powerful struck he unleashed their fury, felling his heart with hers and the fire mage fell to the ground. The blade like attack had struck his eyes and he wailed in agony. Therin escaped knowing that the man would forever be blind now. He wandered holding onto the memories of his parents and the words said to him by the house. His father had once spoken of a nearby guild. A guild by the name of Blue Pegasus that was full of mages. If there was a place for him to start, Therin knew it would be there.
