III. PERSONALITY

Personality:

Rogue is a laid back typical i-don’t-give-a-damn type of guy, often seen relaxed and calm in almost any occasions. His speech indicates ignorance, and sometimes when something fails to intrigue him, Rogue will find anything to do, be it mischievous or good, for as long as there is a reason to do so. He doesn’t care about the importance of the reasoning, as he can actually beat someone to pulp for being rude as the reason. When having something to do, Rogue gives absolutely no damn to anything else that has nothing to do with whatever he is up to at that very moment. For this reason, it is rare to find Rogue actually distracted while having something up in his personal task tray.

Whilst amidst battle, Rogue leaves the task of entertaining him fully on his enemy. He doesn’t give a damn about anything that happens in his surroundings while fighting, except when that something has something to do with his task. Rogue tends to show obvious boringness at his enemy, given that the enemy fails to amaze him in any way. In contrast to that, Rogue shows absolute interest in case the enemy does, which would be rare and difficult to see. When interested in a battle, Rogue forgets about whatever was happening around him before and during the battle, attending to his enemy full-time. He tends to get pissed off, which is in Rogue’s case, very rare, if the enemy fails to pay attention to the battle after succeeding to intrigue the man in that very battle.

In his speech, Rogue tends to include curses in his sentences, not too often, but also not too rare to forget. A smile can rarely be seen on his face, the only times it would be visible is when he is fighting in a battle in which he is interested at, or when he manages to complete a task.

Likes:

  • Fighting, obviously.

  • Eating, how cliché.

  • Taking things for granted. Damn, get serious.

  • Triggering a battle when in the mood to. You want a piece of me?

Dislikes:

  • Spiders. Oh hell no, am NOT getting near to that 8 legged freak.

  • Retreating/Fleeing from battles. Why run from something that’s fun to do?

  • Hunger. Can’t do anything right…. Too hungry!

  • Cowards. You darned piece of-!!! Get back here!

Motivations:

  • The thing that motivates him most in life is to be stronger. That is, to be able to protect all the people he treasures. Though this continuous desire to achieve a new lever of power and strength sometimes get the best of him such as leading him into facing an opponent way out of his league, it is also something that drives him to train often. This is because, he believes that by training and participating in more fights, he will gain both the strength and experience needed for one to achieve more of what they call power, rising the chances to win and succeed in something along. Rogues also tend to get into trouble due to this thirst for power, but decides that all those trouble and misfortune are worth it, due to the fact that he strives so hard to be stronger for the sole purpose of being able to protect and fight for the ones he loves.

Fears:

  • Deaths of his loved ones, which seems like everyone he considers his allies.

  • Fear of falling in love into someone, due to historic occurrences.

  • Losing in a battle in which his victory is the ultimate importance.

  • Failing in his life resolve of living as a living shield for his allies, he doesn’t mind dying for them, but will forever regret having someone dying due to his failure to protect that someone.

Positive Traits:

  • Blind-Fight (+4): You know how to fight in melee without being able to see your foes.

  • Diehard (+2): You can remain conscious after attacks that would fell others.

  • Enhanced Strength (+3): Your character is slightly stronger than other characters when it comes to physical strength.

  • Regeneration (+4): You heal very fast inside and outside of combat. Small cuts that go up to one inch deep are healed in the next post.

Negative Traits:

  • Allergies (-1): You are afflicted with allergies. These may be something as simple as hay fever, but the reactions to such will result in something like a huge bout of sneezing and gasping. You must mention this allergy in your character application. For Rogue's case, he cannot eat something with peanut as part of its recipe, or he will start to get blurry in his sentence, rendering him almost speechless for almost 1 hour if it occurs.

  • Bravado (-2): You are rash in combat, refusing to show weakness by falling back from your enemies' blows. You either face it and stop it, or get hit in the progress. In addition, you cannot fight defensively.

  • Curiosity (-1): You're a naturally curious person and you find mysteries of any sort irresistible. In most circumstances, alas, your curiosity overrides your common sense.
This forces you to investigate something unusual, even if it looks like it might be dangerous.

  • Daredevil (-2): You only really feel alive when you're staring death in the face. Your character is addicted to the thrill of death-defying stunts, pushing himsefl to the limit at every available opportunity.

  • Intolerance (-1): You have an irrational dislike of a certain thing. It may be an animal, a class of person, a situation, or just about anything at all. Note that some dislikes may be too trivial or ridiculous to count--a dislike of Bavarian-crème-filled donuts or mechanical pencils, for example, has no real dramatic value and will not be allowed. In this case, Rogue hates spiders so much, he'll go to almost any lengths as to avoid getting too close to one.

  • Reckless (-1): You lack the emotion of fear. Unfortunately, it is often an important cue that keeps men from doing foolhardy things. Sure, you don't flinch at the sight of even the most hideous monster, but neither do you feel the need to run away when outclassed.

  • Star-crossed (-1): You keep falling in love with the wrong people. You're the common soldier who falls in love with the king's daughter at first sight, or the hero who falls for the villain's daughter without knowing who she is.

  • Tongue-Tied (-1): This disadvantage comes up whenever you try to discuss anything of importance and relay pressing information and such. You have the tendency to incorrectly state facts, forget or mix up names, and generally say the wrong thing.

  • Trusting (-2): You don't like to believe that other people are capable of misleading and lying to you. After all, people are basically good, right?

  • Clumsiness (-1): You have the unfortunate habit of dropping things, knocking things over, or tripping. Once per battle the opponent can call upon your clumsiness and easily dodge one of your attacks.

IV. MAGIC

Magic: Lava-Make
Caster or Holder: Caster
Description:

This moulding magic takes the form of lava, a substance very hot that is shot out from the core of the Earth, often volcanoes. The magic has lava-based spells, meaning almost anything that the magic provides will include the ability to cause burns, or maybe melting, if that particular spell is strong enough to. The make spells ranges from creatures to objects, and can also take the form of a particular something, for example an eruption.

The caster is free to move around while casting the magic’s spell, but both of the caster’s hands will be locked into a pose in return. This, of course will only be mandatory for the caster to cast the spell, not as long as the spell is still active. When a spell is cast, a circular magic rune will appear in front of the user, or wherever the each spell is supposed to sprout out from.

Spoiler:

Strengths:

Other than merely hitting an enemy with the spell’s shape, the caster can also burn the enemy, applying the characteristics of that of lava. For example, if the enemy is hit by the caster’s spell hammer, the enemy will both be hit by hammer knock and burn, or if strong enough, slight melting from the lava. The magic also cannot be eaten by a Dragon Slayer, though an Earth Dragon Slayer can actually eat it for lava is actually molten rock, he/she will still melt his/her face off trying. The spells, being not restricted to one type of form, are different in terms of mobility. For example, there is a spell that takes the form of a hammer, and there is another that takes the form of an eagle. The hammer one travels in a straight line, while the eagle one can glide around, changing the course of its journey as it flies towards the enemy at the caster’s will.

Weaknesses:

Though an Earth Dragon Slayer will melt his/her face off trying to eat the lava make spells, Earth Demon and God Slayers can still eat them without having their face melted whatsoever. This is because the two magic is stronger than the dragon slayer magic, and for their known beastly nature, they can do so without getting scathed by said spells. The spells may add burning or slight melting as their effects on an enemy, but the burn or slightly melt part can be cancelled, provided that the enemy has a strong enough water magic to cool down the lava from the moulding magic’s spells. The caster’s two hands, being the important part in casting this magic, if injured severely the caster might not be able to cast any of the spells anymore. This is because the casting is tied to the condition that involves the caster forming a pose like said earlier in the description. There is another catch on this magic; the lava it is based on can actually catch things on fire, and if it does, the fire will make great to feed Fire-type Slayers, making it disadvantageous to use this magic on them. In general, there are also other weaknesses that applies on this magic other than Slayer magic. One of them being Water-based magic. Since water is known to be able to cool down things in heat, the said based spells can actually cool down one of the lava-based spells, provided that the water spell is strong enough, or in other words, higher in rank to the spell. When cooled down, the lava spell may solidify, dying in its trace as it became a useless piece of rock that used to be a molten lava spell. Besides the water based spells, this magic, being a magic based on lava, which is made up of matter, can be treat all the same. It can still be blocked against, or stopped in its tracks, deflected and anything that could be thought of. For instance, an Earth based spell can actually block a lava spell by for example, the usage of a wall spell. Other than that, this spell can also actually strengthen the enemy’s spells to be used against the caster’s self. This is, for example, if the lava spell is used on a metal spell, the metal spell may be coated in the said lava, as a result giving the enemy a chance to use the caster’s lava against its own master.

V. HISTORY

History:

Rogue had never felt the feeling of delight or sorrow to have a group of blood related people around him known as real family in his life. With a pair of anonymous-es as his parents, Rogue started his life as an orphan in a small, shabby hut owned by the foster mother of his, Carmen Travier who lost her husband earlier before somebody left Rogue to her care when he was still a baby. It was unknown to who left him to her care, but all that was known about her adoption was that a knock on her door gained her attention on a rainy night. Opening the door, a basket with a cloth in it could be seen, revealing its contents to be a baby boy and the piece of cloth shrouding the baby itself. Rogue grew under Carmen’s care, where he was carefully taken care of, despite having to live the hard and rough life with his foster mother, toughening him both physically and mentally as he did. It was during this time living with Carmen that Rogue understood the hardship of life, and that it taught him a lot more about the world which he was not knowing much about. Despite living it tough, Rogue and Carmen both promised each other to keep smiling no matter what happens, and a vow to not let the smile fade away was made between them. The vow was one of the very few things that delighted Rogue in his poor, but full of happiness life.

He was 13 when the tragedy occurred back in the two’s hut. The tragedy that took his foster mother’s life, or rather, a murder. It was the usual night back then, where the two had a lantern as their lamp, using the faint light it gave to see as the two sat together side by side, telling stories and such. All to ease the worry in the two’s heart darkness shrouded them. The door was banged open, and he was knocked out. Rogue didn’t fell unconscious, but his subconscious mind was enough to catch up on what happened. Carmen was attacked by a group of men, harassed, raped and finally killed in such humiliation. He ran outside the moment his legs got their strength back in them, but was too late to do anything anyway. Turning back, the men burned down the two’s shabby hut, where all the memories, laughter and happiness were shared and created. There wasn’t anything he can do but to weep and watch as the unforgiving fire tore the hut, which was the only paradise he thought of about.

Growing up solo, Rogue was 18 when he finally decided to start a journey to find answers to his 1001 questions, some of them being who, what and why the men in his past did such humiliation to Carmen. He wanted to find whoever did it, but not to exact revenge on them, instead he wanted to talk it out peacefully, a trait learnt from his now dead foster mother. In the previous years after he started living on his own, Rogue also got himself caught with some bad habits himself, but decided to think of them as life’s extras. Some of the values and manners Carmen taught to him was also dead, thanks to both the time when he watched as she got kill, and the moment where Rogue had spent years growing up alone, having no one to actually care for him, and teaching him the manners of life. Also, Rogue had started to grow fear of loving people more than he should, as he fears the same kind of thing will happen if he ever to set foot in what people call the heavens of love.

Hello, Rogue.

Within your magic descriptions, you only talk about God Slayers and Dragon Slayers. Try to describe your magic strenghts and weaknesses in general against all kinds of magics, not just God Slayer Magic and Dragon Slayer Magic.

edited! Added more weaknesses to the magic, which will now not only revolve around Slayers eating the spells up, but also other element-based spells being able to use the lava spells against the caster him/herself, or cancel it out before it can actually hit the target.
