Requests

In Earthland, there is an organized system that Guilds utilize to intermediate requests, which Mages are able to partake in and receive reimbursement, most commonly by gold, upon completion. Requests all vary in difficulty and are divided into different ranks and are divided as such in order to have mages distinguish the level of difficulty involved within the request and in turn, assist a mage in selecting a request that is convenient of their capability.

Requests can also be taken with a team of mages (of the same guild or same guild alliance) in order to reduce the danger level. The amount of words required does not split over the amount of mages taking the request, however the same goes for the rewards, these are also handed out to each mage in the team. This means that the sole purpose of doing a request together would be to decrease the danger level.

D-Class Request:

  • Requirements: None
  • Words: 1500 Words
  • Reward: 500 EXP & 1000G

C-Class Request:

  • Requirements: None
  • Words: 2000 Words
  • Reward: 1000 EXP & 2000G

B-Class Request:

  • Requirements: At least Regular level
  • Words: 3000 Words
  • Reward: 2000 EXP & 3000G

A-Class Request:

  • Requirements: At least Adv. Expert
  • Words: 4000 Words
  • Reward: 3000 EXP & 5000G

S-Class Request:

  • Requirements: At least Adv. Master
  • Words: 5000 Words
  • Reward: 5000 EXP & 8000G

Treasure Trails

Besides the regular requests that can be found all across the world on the request boards there are also other methods of partaking into adventures.

Treasure trails are started by finding a clue scroll. Clue scrolls are randomly dropped by various monsters or given through requests. Clues can involve following maps, solving puzzles, finding coordinates, talking to various NPCs, and fighting monsters. After the treasure trail is completed, the player receives a reward.

Treasure Trails (Sapphire):

  • Requirements: At least Apprentice
  • Words: 5000 Words
  • Reward: 500-3000 EXP & 1000-5000G
  • Other: Unique items may be found.

Treasure Trails (Ruby):

  • Requirements: At least Adv. Expert
  • Words: 7,500 Words
  • Reward: 1000-5000 EXP & 3000-8000G
  • Other: Unique items may be found.

Treasure Trails (Emerald):

  • Requirements: At least Grandmaster
  • Words: 10,000 Words
  • Reward: 2000-15,000 EXP & 5000-20,000G
  • Other: Unique items may be found.

Treasure Trails (Onyx):

  • Requirements: At least Completer
  • Reward: 10,000-50,000 EXP & 20,000-100,000G
  • Other: Unique items may be found.

Guild Wars

It is also possible to obtain gold through conquering territories and battling versus other guilds. This method however does not pay you out personally but rather the chest of your guild. Guildmasters can however use this to reward people who have participated in the battles.

The amount of money that can be taken from the defeated guild varies between 5 to 25 percent. This is determined by rolling a dice and of course the amount of money the guild has stored in their chest.

The drawback of storing gold in a safe is that it can only be accessed for withdrawals and deposits once per week, which means that in high emergency cases chances are that you won't be able to access the gold due to your limit.

Dungeons

Dungeons are mysterious buildings that appeared a few years ago on Earthland. It is commonly known that, if one clears a dungeon, he or she will be bestowed with riches and power. Dungeons are ruled by powerful creatures known as Djinn. Each dungeon is different in appearance and difficulty. All have a different interior and exterior. This is because the Djinns that rule each choose the appearance or difficulty as they see fit.

All Dungeons have only one entry -- through a gate. The gate is generally a semicircle and radiates a golden light. Upon entry, the feeling is similar to that of a mucous membrane. Upon entering the Labyrinth's gate, one will fly through a pillar of light. Upon advancing on the correct path, treasures await. Dungeons are really dangerous and have a chance of 'death'. Upon dying in a dungeon, the user is revived outside, however they lose a portion of their experience and gold.
